Health workforce dashboards are now updated and even better 

We’re thrilled to advise that our three health workforce data and information dashboards for Canada are now updated and even better.  

The modules in these dashboards are currently powered by the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI) and Statistics Canada and offer an interactive, consolidated view of some of the pan-Canadian health workforce data available today. 

The Workforce in View dashboard is full of information about our health workforce demographics, distribution, capacity, and more. Using the Data Catalogue dashboard, you can search and easily find out more about health workforce data available at CIHI and Statistics Canada. The Policy Tracker dashboard gives you insights into health workforce policy interventions by federal, provincial, and territorial governments over the last three years.  

Data and information are critical to help better understand the workforce and how to meet the health needs of our population. These updated dashboards bring key information into one place and more will be added over time.

It has been created in recognition of the need to bring together health workforce experts and those in the health care field to learn from each other and strengthen health workforce data and planning to help ensure health workers are there to provide the care people in Canada need.

We are committed to engaging with a broad spectrum of stakeholders as we chart the path toward new approaches to health workforce planning.
