Presenting the next step in our work to strengthen health workforce data and planning in Canada – Primary Health Care and Long-Term Care Continuum modules!
These two new interactive modules are now live within our Workforce in View dashboard. Powered by data from the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI) and Statistics Canada, they bring together available health sector data from across the country and connect it into a one-stop shop to increase understanding and help improve workforce planning.
Whether you work within a primary care or long-term care setting, are responsible for workforce planning, or simply love data and want to understand more about the health workforce landscape in Canada, our dashboards can help!
The long-term care module provides information and data about various staff mixes, vacancies and workforce capacity, as well as resident profiles, outcomes, and trends in their needs. The primary health care module offers information and data about Canadians with regular access to a care provider, capacity and availability of providers, and what the range of available primary health care services, including oral health care, looks like across the country.
We’ve also implemented some additional functionality across all our available dashboards to help users dive deeper into the data and improve useability. More detailed breakdowns on the availability of health care providers at the health region level and the most up-to-date data on physicians, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and pharmacists are now available.
Be sure to explore our dashboards and see how they can assist you!
