How are resources selected to be included in the tool?

  • During development, a small group of organizations, with assets that have been developed to support improvement in health workforce-related issues, were invited to share resources from their organization. Participants were supportive and enthusiastic about the potential for their intellectual property to find a broader audience through the tool. Through their participation, a repository of materials was developed.
  • The Digital Front Door underwent a pilot phase that was intentionally small and curated to validate the concept and assess the tool’s functionality, including the reliability of its generative AI components. During this phase, the repository was not intended to be exhaustive.
  • We are currently expanding the platform and adding more content.

Land Acknowledgement

We acknowledge that we live and work on the traditional territories of many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. We are grateful to the people who have cared for the land for centuries and the current stewards who care for it today. We recognize and celebrate the strength and resilience of Indigenous health workers, and we embrace the opportunity to work closely together to advance cultural safety for those who provide care and those we care for.

Who we are

Health Workforce Canada was established in 2023 to strengthen health workforce data and planning to ensure health workers are there to provide the care people need.

We bring people together to identify what works and what doesn’t in health workforce data, planning, policy and care. Through our efforts, we are contributing to a cost-effective and sustainable health care system.
