We’re excited to announce Health Workforce Canada’s first symposium in Montréal, Oct. 30-31. We hope you can join us, in-person or as a virtual attendee.

What It’s About:

At Health Workforce Canada Connects: Advancing health workforce solutions we’ll be supporting people committed to improving health workforce data and planning as they continue to build a workforce that delivers care in a way that’s healthy for both workers and for patients.

We’ll be bringing together health system leaders, governments, employers, policy makers, health professions, the research community and others to focus on action-oriented solutions that will drive improvements in health workforce data, planning, care delivery and worker wellness.

Who It’s For:

The event is intended to support collaboration and advance health workforce solutions amongst:

  • Health system leaders as they strengthen health workforce data and planning
  • Employers and regional health authorities, as they implement on-the-ground workforce strategies
  • Federal-Provincial-Territorial (FPT) governments, as they implement policy and funding decisions
  • Professional associations and the health workers they represent, including caregivers, in ensuring a strong healthy health workforce, and
  • The research community as they contribute to the overall knowledge about health workforce in Canada.

Why participate?

You’ll contribute to live dialogue about the vision for health workforce in Canada and come away with a renewed sense of where we’re going as a country on health workforce data, planning and management. And you’ll acquire tangible ideas about what works and what doesn’t in each of these critical areas.

What will I experience?

You’ll be able to network with others, brainstorm ideas, and create opportunities for collaboration that can be leveraged beyond the conference session.

You’ll hear from thought-provoking speakers and panelists who are leaders in health care and in workforce planning and take part in workshops designed to foster actionable solutions, collaboration and problem-solving.

What are the details?

The event will take place over one and a half days, with a full day on October 30 and the morning of October 31. You can join us in-person in Montréal at DoubleTree by Hilton, or join us virtually.

We’ll have a wide variety of sessions focused on health workforce challenges we are facing and promising practices to support you in your own planning. Topics will range from strategies for workforce retention, advancing health workforce data and dashboards, exploring the role of artificial intelligence in the future of health care delivery, improving health care leadership, workforce strategies in rural and remote settings, advancing practical models of team-based care, and more.

Please join us for an inspiring symposium and be part of the solution for Canada!
